Hydrogen Storage & Supply for Maritime Applications
Proven. Certified. Delivered.
While hydrogen is increasingly recognised as a key technology for maritime decarbonisation, fully developed, certified, and operational hydrogen systems remain scarce. Many concepts are still in early-stage development, and the regulatory path for safe use at sea or in mobile applications is complex. eCap Marine brings a unique advantage: hands-on experience in designing and delivering real-world hydrogen tank systems for maritime and mobile use. Our systems are already certified, tested, and in operation, offering clients a plug-and-play solution with minimal integration effort.
Modular Hydrogen Tank Systems – Built for Practical Use
We develop compact, tailored hydrogen storage solutions based on project-specific requirements. Each system typically includes:
- High-pressure hydrogen storage (e.g., 380 bar, 500 bar or higher)
- Our own Gas Valve Unit (GVU) for pressure regulation—field-tested and proven
- Built-in safety components, including leakage detection and automatic shut-off
- Optional telemetry system with remote monitoring (GPS, pressure, temperature, status)
- Configurable in 10ft, 20ft, or 40ft ISO containers, framed and fixed on board or compact mobile designs
- Tool-less design and standard interfaces for easy handling (truck/crane)
- Fully compliant with ADR, TPED, ISO, EN and other relevant maritime or road transport standards
These systems are ideal for integration into hydrogen-powered vessels, shore-based fueling infrastructure, and mobile supply chains.
Hydrogen Storage for Offshore Converter Platforms
The growing offshore converter platform market—key to linking offshore wind with hydrogen production—is opening new opportunities for offshore hydrogen storage. These platforms require safe, compact, and certifiable systems that can withstand harsh offshore conditions while storing large amounts of hydrogen efficiently. eCap Marine supports platform operators and integrators with:
- System integration expertise for offshore hydrogen storage
- Containerised or modular tank systems adapted to offshore conditions
- Compliance with offshore safety and classification standards
- Proven technology ready for deployment in harsh marine environments
With practical experience, certified systems, and a strong development team, eCap Marine bridges the gap between hydrogen concepts and operational reality, both onshore and offshore.
