Sea trials of H2-powered Coastal Liberty

We have reached a significant milestone in commissioning our very first Hydrogen Power Generator H2PowerPac on board the offshore supply vessel Coastal Liberty. With Wintershall Dea, Acta Marine and DNV, we successfully travelled emission-free in the Wadden Sea during our sea trials.

400 kW of fuel cell power by Ballard Power Systems and 280 kWh of battery power by Lehmann Marine GmbH are built into this compact 20-ft. container. This container is fueled by a 380 bar hydrogen storage tank on the aft of the ship.
